レイバーデーに開催されたミシガンの２つのイベント 2011年 09月 12日

デトロイトダウンタウンの有名なこの像ではじまりますが。。


レイバーデーの週末(9月5日の祝日を含んだ週末)に２つのイベントがあったので両方に行ってきました。
毎年そのイベントやってるのは知っていて、興味はあったのですが、いつもレイバーデーの週末は旅行に行っていたので、今迄に行ったことはありませんでした。
There were 2 events this Labor Day weekend, so I went to both of them. I knew those events were held every year and I was interested in visiting them. Because they are held every Labor Day and I had gone on trips on previous holidays, I couldn’t go there before.

1つ目はデトロイトダウンタウンのジャスフェスティバル。
6-7つのイベント会場があって、それぞれでジャズの演奏が行われていました。
One of them was the Jazz festival at downtown Detroit.
There were 6-7 stages in the event area and each Jazz group performed at each stage.


露店もあり。


チェス会場もあり。


観客の人がいっぱい踊っていました。黒人さんがいっぱいいたので、黒人さんに人気のイベントなんだと思います。
みんな歌も踊りもうまい！！
Lots of people in the audiences were dancing. There were many African American people there, so I was wondering if it was q popular event for them.
They danced and sang very well!!






もう１つは “アーツ・ビーツ・イーツ”というロイヤルオークダウンタウンのイベント。
これは文字通り、芸術と音楽と食のイベントです。
The other one was the “Arts Beats Eats” in downtown Royal Oak.
It was literally the festival of art ,of music , and of food.


ジャズフェスティバルと比べると白人さんがたくさん。
Compared with the Jazz festival, I saw many more white people there.


食べ物を買うために、チケットを先に購入しないといけません。（10ドルで16枚）ちなみにこのチケットで私が買ったものはビール。。
To get some food, you had to buy a food ticket first. (16piece / $10)
FYI, I just got beer using this ticket(^_^;)

どちらのイベントにもそんなに長い時間はいなかっのですが、とてもいい経験ができました！！」
I didn’t stay so long at either of them but I had a very good experience at the events.
