Because SU-san was interested in African American music and culture, he asked his friend to take us to an African American church.
To find the best church, the friend and his fience did some research for us and were able to find a church with an excellent choir.
And they took us there.

I just wanna say , ”It was interesting!”

I didn’t know anything about the church experience at all.
The entire church experience was totally deference from what I had expected.
Before going, I thought that church atmosphere of church service would be quiet and relax.

However, it was anything but quiet and relax. The church choir was lively and everybody was really excited and screamed and shouted “Amen” thorough out the service.
I liked choir. I felt t like I was at a concert.

Especially , while the preacher was given his sermon, people were so excited that it almost felt like a riot or a rebellion. People were really moved by religious spirit.

The image of church that I had had before was probably that of a white American church.. probably.
Or of a typical western style wedding.
It seemed like Su-san had already known about African American church services.
So he said, “It was just as I had expected!” Wow!

It was a great experience for us. Thank you so much taking us there.
